June 26 - Day 18

When I got home today RoofDude was already gone. Ty said they left about 1:30pm because RoofDude had a doctor appointment. Walking around the house, I noticed alot of new gadgets and equipment in the yard, lots of material scraps and bits laying around, but I really can't find what they worked on except that we now have a door and window installed in our rebuilt room. Woot! The door looks so out of place right now with everything so plain and half-done around it. I can only hope it looks stunningly beautiful in the end. lol



I noticed the door intended for our front door is set aside, leaning up against RoofDude's trailor. I wondered why, and worried that he was thinking the other door was meant for the front spot. (The one with the bigger window, matches the back door.) Then I noticed this one that's set aside is a light yellow/cream color, and our other doors are white. Doh! Now we're wondering if he set it aside because of the color...? And if it only comes in that color, do we want it? DOH! I will have to leave him a note tomorrow morning, and hopefully get to talk to him tomorrow afternoon.

Ty said RoofDude offered him (and Casey?) $10 to clean up the yard. I asked why he wasn't doing it. Ty said he wasn't sure if RoofDude was serious. lol So no, Ty didn't do it. Dork.

It got up to 90 degrees today. That's a bit on the warm side for me but it didn't really seem too horrible until I got home. I was just totally drained. I was laying on the couch by about 4pm, starting to nod off, and then apparently did fall asleep because I woke up to find hubby walking into the room and it was nearly 5:15pm. After that I was just sweating my ass off and could not cool down no matter what I did. I am not a good napper....never seem to recover from them, always groggy and bleah the rest of the evening. But I heard on the radio, the DJ talking to a caller, and they were both saying how incredibly muggy and draining it was today and that they both just wanted to nap. So ok, glad to know I'm not suffering some rare tropical disease. LOL

Poor fattycat has just been laying around like a pile of roadkill. He stays in the area of the bathroom door because it seems to be the cool spot for him. Everyone stops to pet him whenever they go by and he just does this quick little purr-mew sound like a 'Yeah, hi, now go away.'

Tried to watch the movie 10,000 B.C. tonight. Hubby ordered it on pay-per-view. I had wanted to see this so much, almost bought it the other day when I bought Spiderwick. Sooo glad I didn't. It's nothing like I thought it would be. Well, I guess I'm not sure what I thought it would be, but what it is didn't do anything for me. It seemed really....odd. Like, aren't elephants modern day decendants of mammoths? Don't elephants run like...don't know how to describe it, but it's not a gallop like horses, right? Then why did the mammoths gallop like horses? The main girl was ugly and I hated her and whatever the story about her was. Why did this main tribe look all scraggly like cavemen but the other tribes looked almost modern and rode around on horses? When did man start riding horses anyway? Back in the days of mammoths and sabre tooth tigers? Seems unlikely, but I guess I really don't know. So it was just a weird movie that I gave up on and didn't even finish watching.

Got our first cellphone bill today. Geez, we've only had the stupid things two weeks. I hate them, absolutely wish I hadn't gotten them. I still stand by what I said about not needing them. *shakes head*

I have to work this Saturday AGAIN. Possibly Sunday too. AND I have to go in at 3am Monday morning, and work a 12 hour day that day. Bleah!

Alrighty, that was a bit more interesting than the last couple days. Right?? Good, cuz I'm off to bed.
