July 31 - Video clips

One thing about living in the country that I still find entertaining is when a cropduster shows up. These guys are crazy. The way it looks like they're going to slam into the ground, and the way they yank it back up to avoid power lines or trees or whatnot.

We had one out there early this morning. At first I didn't think anything of it because EAA is also happening this week so the nonstop sound of planes flying over kinda becomes background noise. Once I realized this one was different I grabbed the camera and ran out to the front porch. I didn't have my shoes on, didn't have time to get to a better vantage point, but you can still get the idea from this clip. The beginning of it is crazy, looks like he's about to land on the road. (You can't really see the road but since I know where it is in the picture, well, you know what I mean.)

This next one is another pass he did but this clip shows him a little better as he passes the house. (The first clip kinda loses him in that part.)
