April Giveway - Ideas?

It's the first of April and I should be posting the monthly giveaway but . . . I don't know what it should be, or if I should continue to do them.  I'd said at the beginning of the year that I had wanted to try doing a giveaway each month, something fun and routine to look forward to.  Doing it each month though would mean the prizes need to be within reason, and since I've strayed away from being just a handcrafted soap blog I thought it would keep things interesting to vary the types of prizes.  Maybe I was wrong in that thinking though.  Maybe people really would rather have free handcrafted soap each month.  Interest in each giveaway so far this year has been lacking, to say the least.  There were only two entries last month.

So, what type of giveaway prize would YOU be interested in?

  1. I'd like sample cuts from your bars instead of whole bars. Tarts could be prizes too. What else ya got that's not too heavy? :) CD's or DVD's?

  5. Hmm, no reply yet from Amathia Soapworks, but a couple other ideas have presented themselves also.

Veronica - Hello! And thanks for visiting my blog. :)

  6. Just checked the Amathia page, is there any chance the comment didn't go through? Maybe I didn't see it because of the new timeline format.

Anyway, it looks like our free samples are shipping today!

  7. I absolutely *HATE* the stupid new 'timeline' format, and I don't hesitate to broadcast that fact. I even did Facebook's survey that shows up at the top of the page sometimes and I totally bitched about how useless and stupid it was.

Anyway, I see she 'liked' my comment so I know she at least saw it.

Can't wait for my sample to get here!

  8. OOH! And I just noticed that Blogger has added back the option to receive followup comments. That's good.

  9. Handmade soap, for sure. Or herbal balms. generally not interested in overtly commercial stuff.

  10. For some reason Facebook hasn't forced the timeline on my profile yet, I wonder if they're sparing me because I'm not using it enough.

  11. Ok, this is random but I'm getting the urge to destash again so I'm making an open-ended offer to donate for giveaways if you're interested. I have a lb. of Lemon Mudslide from bodygoodies, new soap from Heirloom Soapworks, a salt bar from Magic Hands. I'll spare you the entire list unless you want it.

  13. Oh wow, how crazy!

This is Kenna, the owner of Amathia Soapworks, I was doing my quarterly google myself (gosh, I know, sounds so self centered!) and came across this.

I couldn't for the life of me remember your comment, so I went back to look and someone marked it as spam!! I had to unmark it as spam to even see it. :(

If you still are looking for people, please shoot me an email. :) kenna AT amathiasoapworks DOT com :)

So sorry, Deb, I try to do my best to keep track of Facebook's posts and messages, but it's such a mess sometimes. :(

  14. Yeah, Facebook is such a disaster since they started changing things. Not surprising you never saw the comment. :)
