I Won!

I won a giveaway recently over at the Soapy Days blog.  The giveaway was for one tube of lip balm, but Alyssa generously added some extra goodies.  Thank you, Alyssa!

This was the actual prize, a Vanilla Bean lip balm from Epically Epic Soap Company.  I've only used it once so far because I was anxious to get this posted, but this appears to be a very nice balm.  It goes on soooo smooth, and feels so soft.  A little will go a long way with this one!  No crushing of the lips trying to get hard, waxy coverage.  No back-n-forth back-n-forth back-n-forth painting on layer upon layer trying to feel something.  Noooo, I think this will be good.  The scent is nice too, on the strong side but still nice.

One of the extra goodies was this sample size of Epically Epic's solid lotion.  The product doesn't pop out of the tin, like I thought solid lotions were meant to, so this will be used like a salve or balm, where you goob up your fingers and then spread it where you want.  Oh, and it's Green Tea scent.

Another of the extras was this sample of Honey Balsam soap from Alchemic Muse.  I was excited to see this because I've ordered from there before and would like to get around to them again. This one is described as 'Highly addictive! Fresh honey with sparkling notes of bergamot and sweet orange accented by a layer of buttery toffee in a foundation of resinous frankincense and myrrh.'  It's a fabulous scent!  When I sniffed it before ever reading the description, I never would have guessed all of those things are in there . . . would have just agreed that yeah, it's honey and subtle notes of balsam.  Doh!

And finally was this sample of Oatmeal, Milk & Honey goat milk soap from Delta Moon Soapworks.  You all KNOW that Oatmeal, Milk & Honey is my favorite soap!  But then I had to stop and think . . . why does the name Delta Moon seem uncomfortably familiar to me?  Have any of you ordered from this company?

But anyway, thank you soooo much, Alyssa!  It was a fun little giveaway and even more fun to find those extra little goodies in the package.  I was like a kid on Christmas!  LOL

  2. That's what I'd thought about doing too - using it on my cuticles. They need desperate attention anyway. :|
