Hello Sugar - 'Delightful shortbread dusted with lemon sugar.'
This is a Bath & Body Works dupe that I remember from my soap making days. On cold sniff you get a nice strong lemon note, more candy-like than cleaner-like. But warmed, what must be the shortbread comes through. Five of us were sitting around the kitchen table (playing Munchkin, of course!) while this was melting in the next room and all of us were undecided if we actually liked this scent or not. It's like, when you first smell it, it's all lemony and wonderful but then on the tail end of it is something that throws an odd twist into it. That shortbread note wasn't the sort of soft bakery note like you might think it would be. It was sort of a sharp, cracker type oddity. It wasn't enough to kill this scent, but it was a bit of a 'Wait, what was that?' speed bump to the senses.
I went ahead and melted this whole 2 oz. tart (I hate cutting wax) in my Glade 20 watt hot plate warmer and had strong, long lasting scent.
(Orchid Lake Candles is now known as Wilma, and can be found HERE.)
(This tart was part of a gift from a waxy friend.)
