Subscription - Walmart Beauty Box / Spring 2015

I received my Walmart Beauty Box - Spring edition yesterday!  Let's dive right in.

As with most subscription boxes, you open it to find tissue paper and a card of some sort.

There are several sample/travel sized products, as well as some coupons.

I laughed when I saw this because Sunnee recently posted about it.  This is Caress body wash, the 'fine fragrance' line, in the Adore Forever scent.  This stuff apparently has micro beads of scent, or something like that . . . ?  I'm all about body washes, so I'll be happily trying this.

This is the L'Oreal Paris - Total Repair 5 shampoo and conditioner.  It says it is for 'damaged, overworked hair.'  My hair is not in great condition but I don't know that it's damaged and I know it's not overworked.  I mean, heck, I am just a wash-n-go girl.  I'm kinda over the excitement of trying new hair products.  Well, first of all, I really want to get my hair cut and I just keep putting it off.  It's way longer than what I prefer, and I feel that just adds to the crappiness of it.  Also, I prefer 2-in-1 products because I'm lazy.  But I will go ahead and try these anyway.

Or maybe I should just go get my dang hair cut first.

I love lotions but for some reason I was disappointed to see this one.  I don't know why I always think of Palmer's Cocoa Butter and some cheap, bottom shelf, product of the '70s type thing.  ?!  LOL  I will laugh hysterically if I end up loving this.  I can't seem to find a decent hand lotion anymore, so here's hoping!

The little sample packet of Skin Therapy Oil didn't get me very excited either.  I'm not into extra face products, don't do the serums and all that stuff.  Maybe I should be since I'm an old lady now.  I guess I'll give it a try and see what I think.  Also, with these little packets, is it ever really enough to even know if it's doing anything?

I was super excited to see a Burt's Bees product, then sighed when I saw it was another face serum.  *sigh*  This one is their Renewal - Intensive Firming Serum, with hibiscus and apple.  I'll probably try this before the Palmer's one, just because Burt's Bees is more exciting to me.

I wasn't sure what to think when I pulled this Lady Gaga perfume sample out of the box.  I'm not into fancy perfumes.  Just give me a cheapie bottle of body mist in a simple scent and I'm good to go.  But hey, I can spritz on something more upscale if I like the scent.  Unfortunately, I hate this scent.  Is the name of this scent Fame?  Or Black Fluid?  I don't even know.  It's described as 'Tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of Orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.'

This will go into a friend-mail or get tossed.  I have no interest in it.

For coupons in this box, there is a $3.00 one for any Burt's Bees Renewal item, $1.00 of Palmer's face oil, and a free dry spray antiperspirant from Dove, Degree, or Axe.

I'm a little disappointed with this box.  I don't know why.  I mean, I didn't get any makeup or nail products that I wouldn't use anyway, so I should be glad.  And it is basically a free box, only $5.00 to cover shipping.  I've purposely stayed away from watching videos until I received this, because I didn't want to know what might be in mine.  I went ahead and watched one this morning and that lady had a different lotion in place of the Palmer's one.  She had also mentioned being a little bummed by this box, and said she'd seen videos of the younger ladies getting much more interesting products.  I'm going to go watch a couple more videos now, see what other things are popping up in this Spring Box.  I also wonder if there is a way to change our settings for our subscription.  I'm pretty sure the boxes go by age group, but I really don't remember for sure what was all involved when signing up.

Oh well, it's still fun, and it's cheap.
Like me!  =P

  1. Random trivia about the perfume, being black but spraying clear was something they had to do from scratch for this. I haven't smelled it though.

    1. Interesting. Not sure why they'd bother with black liquid though, unless it's sold in a clear bottle. Maybe it is? *shrug* I have no clue about Lady Gaga stuff. lol

  2. I like Palmer's. I used it religiously on my belly when I was pregnant. I was not a fan of Lady Gaga's 'fume either. It was just "meh."

    1. I didn't like the Palmer's lotion, didn't like smelling like chocolate. I didn't bother with the face oil. Oh well.

  3. I'm sorry you're disappointed with this box, it looks like a good one!! I got mine the other day, too, and may blog about it. I might be biased, but I liked the Lady Gaga perfume, but because it reminded me of something else similar. Love the Burt's Bees, but firming is sort of a weird word...makes it sounds botoxy!

    1. At least let me know what you got in yours since you probably get the 'young' box and have different things.

I accidentally wasted the Burt's Bees serum. Way too much oozed out when I tried to use it and in my frantic actions of trying to decide whether to slather it on my face or let it drip down the sink, the rest of it kept oozing out of the package like there was a siphon effect. LOL - oops!

  4. Got mine the other day! I'm kind of disappointed to find you got all the same stuff as me--was interested to see more variety. I'm not super excited about the stuff, but I wouldn't go as far as disappointed. I'll use all of it and am interested to try all of it. I actually like the Lady Gaga scent.

lol about the Palmer's. It's gotta be the look of the bottles/logo, the colors, etc. I can totally understand that. I used their stuff on my belly while I was pregnant and didn't get any stretch marks, so that was cool. I find it amusing because I have stretch marks pretty much everywhere else on my body that have been there twenty years from when I first went on prednisone when I was diagnosed with Crohn's and gained 30 pounds in 30 seconds.

    1. Yeah, it would have been interesting if you'd gotten a different Burt's Bees product or something. Just SOME little variety.

  5. Also, my belly is all scarred up from surgeries anyway, so it's sort of funny that I even bothered. But I am still happy that I didn't get more stretch marks.

    1. I've gotten so many stretch marks just from getting fat in my old age than I think I ever got from being pregnant. *sigh*
