Haul - Lawn Fawn / Stamps and Dies

One of the card makers I follow on YouTube mentioned in a recent video that the Hallmark Scrapbook & Crafts site was having a big sale that include Lawn Fawn things at something like 30-60% off.  Um, WHAT?!  You probably know by now that I *love* Lawn Fawn, so I raced over to that site to have a look around.  It was not a site I was familiar with before but oh my gosh, I'll be heading back to it for sure now.  They have a lot of Lawn Fawn things that are I don't remember seeing on the actual Lawn Fawn site, so these are probably retired things or something.  I wanted to grab everything!  I refrained though . . . for now.

Let me show you what I did grab though!

I think I mentioned in my other craft haul post that there was an airplane themed set from the new release that I was thinking about getting.  I saw it on sale at this Hallmark site so I grabbed it.  This is the Plane & Simple set.  One of my brother's comes to mind for this because he's very much into aviation, especially old warbirds.

This little Starry Skies die set can go along with that Upon A Star constellation set I recently got, or it can create super cute things on its own.  The shooting star part of this die gets snipped off to become its own separate piece.

Kinda hard to see in this pic but this is the Stitched Cloud Backdrop.  It can emboss stitched puffy clouds all over for a background on a card panel.  They have it in portrait layout as well as this landscape layout.  I chose this one because I thought, well, I can still get the effect on a portrait style card by using this but it would be harder to get a landscape layout effect using the portrait layout die.  Follow that?  lol

I debated about these.  This is the Simple Gift Card Slots die set, and is meant cut little slots that will hold gift cards in your handmade cards.  I was hesitant, thinking it's easy to just toss the card in or hold it with a piece of tape, but then I remembered the "Have fun with your passion!" thing I'm supposed to be following so I went ahead and got it.  This could really come in handy during the holiday season!

I've looked at this Thanks A Bushel set a million times and passed it up a million time.  I love that basket of apples for fall themes but I though, for me, the rest of it would just be a waste.  For some reason though, when I saw it this time it just clicked in my head to use it along with this next set . . .
This is the Jump For Joy set, another that I always looked at and always passed on.  But now I suddenly have an idea to use the basket of apples with the pile of leaves, maybe pop the apples up with foam tape slightly covering the leaves.  Suddenly I'm very excited about the possibilities when combining these two sets!

It's kind of a similar thing with this Ready, Set, Snow set.  It's meant to be for making shaker cards, which I've never had much interest in.  When I looked at this time I was suddenly like 'Forget the snowglobe part and make awesome little scenes with those other pieces!'  (But I'm also considering dabbling in shaker cards too.)

And finally there is this Merry Messages stamp set.  I was so limited in my holiday greeting sentiment options last year, and there are so many nice ones in here, very usable for pretty much anyone.  Looking forward to making this year's Christmas cards now!

That is my first Hallmark Scrapbook & Crafts haul.  I will definitely be heading back to that site for more goodies, especially those things I haven't seen on the Lawn Fawn site.  I didn't really look around much outside of the Lawn Fawn sale stuff the day I placed this order.  I will have to do some more thorough browsing someday soon!

Oh!  And they even threw a fun treat into the box!

What do you think I should make first?
Maybe an airplane card for my brother, color up that biplane to look like the Red Baron's plane?
Jump ahead to fall cards because I'm anxious to see how my apples and leaves idea turns out?
