My Fall Leftovers Stash

I've mentioned here and there that I already have a lot of fall scents in my Leftovers From Last Year Stash, and that might affect how much new stuff I buy this year.  Well, I dug that leftovers box out and took some pics so I could show you all what I'm talking about.

This is the box that holds (barely!) my fall leftovers.  This does not include the few new ones I've bought recently.

Ah yes, my go-to brands, Better Homes & Gardens and Scentsationals.  I think all of these were bought on clearance at my Walmart, when they were only something like $0.50 each.  Actually that one clam of A Thankful Harvest might be what I actually had leftover and not a clearance purchase.  The others are Pumpkin Spice, and Spiced Pumpkin Pie, (2) Cinnamon Apples, and (3) Pumpkin Apple Muffins.  I was leaning away from the heavier pumpkin scents last year, leaning more towards apple scents.  I'm curious what I'll like this year.

More clearance purchases and a gift.  There is one Yankee Apple Cinnamon Cider only because I think that's all that was left at the time, and two Yankee Pumpkin Apple Harvest packs.  The Glade one is Pumpkin Pie Diner.  Some years I've liked the Glade pumpkin scent, and some years I haven't.  I think this particular one is the version I liked.

This was gifted to me because I don't have a Bed Bath & Beyond store near me.  You guys always have all the fun options!  This is Haunted Hayride, and while I usually wouldn't go for this sort of dusty hay smell who knows what I'll be into this year?  So yeah, I will be giving this one a try.

I was baffled why I have any Sweet Fixations leftovers but I think these might have been scents she added late in the season and I received them after my normal fall scent melting time.  So there is Apple Cider Donuts, Pumpkin Chai, Pumpkin Chai Eggnog, and Hot Apple Cider to look forward to this year.

These adorable little cups were all gifted to me.  I don't think I've ever ordered from Nene's Kitchen Melts myself but I'm pretty sure I've tried samples that have been passed on to me.  This fall bunch includes Sweet Candied Pumpkin, Sweet Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry Chutney, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Delight, Pumpkin Butter, Pumpkin Cornbread, and Pumpkin Chai.  Phew!  That's a lot of pumpkins to try!

Gifted to me, I think these are all from Candles From The Keeping Room.  There is Apple Cobbler Delight, Pumpkins At The Fair (which is Pumpkin Pecan Waffles), and Tiffany's Sweet Pumpkin Cupcakes.

Rosegirls!  Even though this vendor is local to me, these two generous portions were shared with my by friends along the way.  The pie slice is Pumpkin Donut Nilla Wafers, and the cute ghost is Cinnamon Bun.

More accumulated goodies that have been shared with me, in this bunch we have Iced Cinnamon Pumpkin Pecan Waffles from Chloe & Me Candles, Coffee Cake & Cinnamon Rolls from Sniff My Tarts, All Hallows Eve from Golden Willow Waxes, Candy Corn from Yankee, and Gingerbread House from Wonderberry Wax Co.  Wait, how did that get in there?  That should be in the Christmas leftovers.  Doh!

As you can see, I probably have enough right here to get me through this rapidly approaching fall melting season.  Even so, I will probably place my traditional Must Haves order from Sweet Fixations, and will no doubt be keeping a close eye on what BHG and Scentsationals offer at Walmart.  I also have to remember to give the Tuscany brand a try.  I was surprisingly impressed with them last year, at least in the few fall scents I tried.

Do you have leftovers from last fall?  Are there scents you're anxious to get again this year?  Do you have a go-to vendor or brand for fall favorites?

  1. I have quite a few remainders from last year as well. By far the greatest number of these are 2017's lackluster BH&G selection. Bland, repetitious and just plain boring. I always try to keep some Ten Digit Creations offerings in my mix; they have several favorites I try to keep on hand. And, of course, the fall selections from Front Porch are always excellent.
I melted Caramel Apple Spice yesterday and it's a 100% winner!! It's a near-dupe of BBW's Cider Lane, but I like it even more. The overwhelming caramel note in Cider Lane almost makes me sick;CAS dials the caramel way back and it's terrific with a solid medium-heavy throw. A must try!

    1. I have Caramel Apple Spice but have not melted it yet. I was so happy to see it! My absolute favorite caramel apple scent used to be BHG's Candied Caramel Apple. It's been years since it's been out and now I don't remember for sure what it smelled like, but this Caramel Apple Spice has me pretty excited.

I really need to order from Front Porch again. I always forget about them when it comes to ordering! I should go have a look. I always say that, I know. Have you ordered from Country Lane Keepsakes lately?

    2. Ha! I'm way ahead of Julie and yourself this year! I sent off my early fall order to Front Porch yesterday. They're offering some interesting new blends right now, you should have a look-see. I also stopped by Wal-Mart Saturday morning and (deafening silence) the third wave of BH&G/Scentsationals was on display. The shelves were completely stocked with new merchandise. : Apple Cookie Crunch, Cinnamon Pecans, Vanilla Bean Butterscotch, Pineapple Pumpkin (sounds horrifying but it's actually pleasant!), Holiday Cookies (completely bland on cold, this REALLY throws out a sweet spicy cinnamon when warmed!!), Sugar Pumpkin Cronuts (WOW!! Fantastically sweet and strong! Yet another winner!). Even Wal-Mart haters should think about at least one visit to try some of these great scents. Finally, I went to BBW in the local Halloween-All-Year-Long mall yesterday and purchased some fall candles. AAAAAIIIEEEEE!!! Again, fantastic fragrances with very modest throw. Just when I thought things were improving. I'm dubious of continuing to buy these things when The sale price is roughly twelve bucks. So happy that several BH&G melts are nice dupes of some classic BBW seasonal fragrances. Lastly, Carol at Country Lane Keepsakes has been working a full-time job and only opens her shop on occasion. You can ask her to give go 'Heads Up' on Etsy when she reopens.

    3. Whaaat??? Yer killin' me with these new scents I need to find! Actually, I've now found a few that you've mentioned but some of these, man I hope they show up in my store.

Yeah, I saw that about Country Lane Keepsakes last night. I popped over to her shop and saw that update.

Front Porch! I must order now. Must. Order. Now! That and more Sweet Fixations.

  2. Nice fall collection! I feel like this is a quintessential FFS post. You are giving me all the fall fuzzies. I do have a nice chunk of fall stuff ready to go mostly because I bought a bunch from CFTKR a couple openings ago. I think I have a few Beezy, LSC and maybe SMT fall type scents from last year to melt. I love Carol's fall wax and Dessa's fall wax (my Dessa order should be shipping here soon!). I went to Walmart today but no dice on the candles or wax. Hardly any fall and only the Sweet Cinnamon Roll in a candle.

    1. As of yesterday my Walmart had more fall scents but still not a full fall scent display like they usually have. I still haven't ordered my Sweet Fixations must-haves!! What the heck is happening?!
